Overview: Multi-Agent Platform & Local Data Architecture
Trinity is a specialized three-agent platform engineered for dedicated tasks, where each autonomous agent is built for a single, focused purpose.
Built as a local-first Electron application paired with Microsoft SQL Server Express, Trinity ensures complete privacy by keeping all user data securely on your local machine.
The Trinity application features three primary autonomous AI agents: Adam, Iron, and Solo.
Adam
Adam is a unique, dedicated personal assistant designed specifically for your daily tasks, individual productivity, and personal work, operating independently as the foundational agent in the Trinity platform.
Iron
Development of Iron can only be initiated once Adam is 70% complete.
Solo
Development of Solo can only be initiated when both Adam and Iron are complete. Solo depends on both agents.
Login & Account Activation
Welcome to Trinity! Below is your complete step-by-step manual for logging in, verifying your identity, setting up your security PIN, and accessing your workspace every day.
Step 1: Email Verification (Azure One-Time Passcode)
When you open Trinity for the first time, you will see the Sign In activation screen.
Click "Sign in with email"
Click the primary Sign in with email button. Trinity will automatically launch your computer's default web browser to open the secure Azure verification page.
Enter Your Email Address
In your browser window, type your work or personal email address. A 6-digit One-Time Passcode (OTP) will be sent straight to your inbox.
Enter the 6-Digit Passcode
Check your email inbox, copy the 6-digit verification code, and paste it into the browser window. Once verified, you can close the browser tab and return to Trinity.
Step 2: Setting Up Your 4-8 Digit Security PIN
After email verification completes, Trinity immediately prompts you to create a personal 4–8 digit Security PIN. This PIN encrypts local data access on your machine so nobody else using your computer can access your workspace.
Enter Your 4-8 Digit PIN
Type any 4 to 8 digit number of your choice (e.g. 2468 or 123456) in the setup screen.
Confirm Your PIN
Re-enter your chosen 4–8 digit PIN to ensure there are no typos. Once confirmed, your desktop workspace is fully encrypted and ready for use!
Step 3: Daily App Sign-In
Every time you open Trinity in the future, signing in is fast and friction-free:
Select Your Personal Profile
The login screen displays your avatar and name (e.g. "Welcome back, Adam").
Type Your 4-8 Digit Security PIN
Enter your 4–8 digit PIN to unlock your workspace. Press Enter or click the arrow button to enter Trinity.
Step 4: Resetting a Forgotten PIN
If you ever forget your 4–8 digit Security PIN, you can reset it safely using your verified email address:
Click "Forgot PIN?"
On the daily sign-in screen, click the Forgot PIN? link located below the input field.
Re-Verify via Email
Trinity opens your browser to send a fresh Azure One-Time Passcode to your email inbox.
Create a New PIN
Once re-verified, enter and confirm your new 4–8 digit Security PIN to regain instant access to your app.
System Controls & Settings Manual
The System Controls Bar sits floating discreetly at the bottom of your Trinity desktop workspace. It gives you instant access to your account usage meter, database health status, comprehensive application settings, and one-click workspace locking.
1. Usage Meter & Account Balance
The circular progress ring on the left side of the System Controls bar monitors your account usage and monthly balance in real time.
Real-Time Visual Ring Indicator
The circular meter updates automatically after every AI prompt, code edit, or web search. The ring reflects your remaining monthly usage balance for paid accounts or free tier request caps.
Tooltip Status
Hover your mouse over the ring to view quick status indicators without opening any menus.
2. Database Health & One-Click Repair
Trinity stores your conversations, document vector indexes, and memories in a local high-performance database. The database icon displays real-time health:

🟢 Green Icon: Database is connected and operating cleanly.
🟡 Yellow Pulsing Icon: Database is running diagnostic checks or automatic health repairs.
🔴 Red Icon: Local database disconnection or error detected.
One-Click Automated Database Repair
If the database icon turns red, simply click the database button. Trinity will automatically diagnose local index files, repair corrupted tables, and restore database connectivity cleanly.
4. Frameless Window Controls
Trinity operates in a clean, borderless desktop window mode without standard bulky operating system window frames. The autohiding window control panel sits discreetly at the center-top of your screen:
Top-Center Hover Trigger
Move your mouse cursor to the small dark tab at the top-center edge of the Trinity application window. Hovering over this tab smoothly reveals the floating window control buttons.
Minimize, Maximize & Close
- Minimize (−): Minimizes Trinity to your Windows taskbar.
- Maximize / Restore (□): Toggles between full-screen and restored window layout.
- Close (✕): Safely closes the desktop application window.
Automatic 3-Second Fade-Out
To keep your workspace 100% distraction-free, the window controls automatically fade out and hide after 3 seconds of mouse inactivity.
5. Logout & 3-Minute Inactivity Auto-Lock
Trinity includes automatic and manual desktop security features to prevent unauthorized access when you walk away from your desk:

Click the Power Icon button on the right side of the System Controls bar to lock your app workspace instantly.
Automatic 3-Minute Inactivity Auto-Lock
If Trinity detects zero mouse or keyboard activity for 3 minutes, the desktop application automatically logs out and locks your workspace. Simply enter your 4–8 digit Security PIN to resume right where you left off!
Chat History & Conversation Management Manual
Adam saves your conversations automatically in a secure local database. The Chat History sidebar drawer gives you fast access to past chats, real-time search, bookmarking, and context-tagging.
1. Opening & Toggling Chat History
You can open or close the sliding Chat History drawer anytime without losing your active workspace state:

Click the Panel Left icon (Ctrl+B) located at the top-left edge of the workspace to slide open your Chat History drawer.
Smooth Backstage Mount
The Chat History panel stays pre-mounted in memory, ensuring zero visual jank or rendering lag when opening or collapsing the sidebar.
2. Starting a New Conversation
Start fresh AI prompts or switch project contexts in one click:
Click the New Chat (+) Button
At the top-right of the Chat History header, click the + Plus Icon button to open a clean chat canvas.
Automatic Top-Pinning & Smooth Scroll
When you send your first message in a new session, Trinity automatically generates a concise conversation title and places the new chat at the top of your list.
3. Real-Time Search & Filtering
Instantly locate past prompts, code snippets, or document discussions:

Type any keyword, phrase, or project name into the Search conversations... input bar at the top of the history drawer.
Live Title & Preview Filter
The virtualized list filters sessions in real time by checking titles and message previews. If no matches are found, an animated No Matches empty state is displayed.
4. Bookmarking & Pinning Important Chats
Keep key reference chats permanently accessible at the top of your history drawer:

Hover over any chat session card and click the Bookmark Icon (🔖) on the right side.
Pinned Block Priority
Bookmarked sessions automatically move into a dedicated pinned block at the very top of your Chat History list so they are never lost under newer conversations.
5. Adding Past Conversations as Active Context
Reference past research or code solutions in your current prompt without copying and pasting:
Open Options Menu (⋮)
Click the Three Vertical Dots (⋮) menu trigger on any session card in the list.
Select "Add Context"
Click Add Context. The session title turns Emerald Green, indicating that Trinity's AI will automatically incorporate that chat's knowledge into your active prompt thread.
6. Deleting & Managing History Storage
Maintain full privacy and control over your local desktop data:
Delete Individual Chats
Open the ⋮ Options Menu on any session card and select Delete Chat (red trash icon) to permanently wipe that conversation thread and cached attachments.
Virtualized Infinite Scroll & Bulk Clearance
Trinity uses high-performance list rendering to display thousands of chats seamlessly. For bulk cleanup, use the Clear All History or Prune >6 Months tools in the System Settings menu.
Canvas Workspaces & Dynamic Sidebar Manual
Adam features an interactive right-hand Dynamic Sidebar housing three specialized canvases: Code Canvas for project development, File Canvas for document reading and smart citations, and Image Canvas for AI image creation and editing.
2. Code Canvas & Full Repository Analysis
Turn Trinity into an autonomous AI coding environment with full repository analysis:
Selecting & Authorizing a Project
At the top of Code Canvas, open the Project Selector Dropdown and select your local codebase folder. Trinity performs automatic project analysis to map functions, imports, and cross-file dependencies across your entire codebase.
Browsing the File Tree Sidebar
Use the left collapsible File Tree to inspect project files (.tsx, .ts, .py, .json, .rs, .go). Clicking any file opens it instantly inside the code editor with line numbers and syntax highlighting.
Security & Invisible Unicode Shield
Code Canvas automatically scans code files for dangerous invisible Unicode characters, bidirectional overrides (BIDI), and homoglyph attack vectors to protect your repository from hidden malicious code injection.
AI Refactoring & Direct Disk Save
Review AI-generated code edits side by side. Click Copy Code or Save to Disk to apply refactored changes straight into your project repository.
3. File Canvas & Document Citation Viewer
Read, search, and verify AI document answers with exact page citation highlights:
Opening Documents & Citation Links
Click any document citation link in an AI response or select a PDF from your Librarian storage to open it inside the interactive document viewer canvas.
Automatic Citation Jump & Highlight
When you click an answer citation, File Canvas automatically scrolls to the exact page number and highlights the referenced text passage in yellow for 100% verification accuracy.
Page Toolbar & Search Controls
Use the top toolbar to jump between pages, zoom in/out, fit to width, search for keywords inside the PDF, or download a local copy of the file.
4. Image Canvas & Image Editor
Create, edit, and reference visual assets for your applications and websites:
Managing Reference Slots (Image 1, 2, 3)
Image Canvas features 3 reference slots (Image 1, Image 2, Image 3). Drag & drop images into slots or click Upload to provide visual reference assets for AI image creation.
Interactive Image Editor Tools
Click the Edit Pencil Icon on any image card to open the built-in Image Editor (ImageEditor.tsx). Adjust color grading (brightness, contrast, warmth, saturation, vignette), apply 90° rotations and flips, or crop image boundaries.
Text Overlays & Image Stamping
Add custom text layers with font choices, colors, and styling (bold, italic, underline). Upload secondary image overlays, resize/rotate stamp layers, or draw with the mask brush and eraser tools.
Full-Screen Lightbox & High-Res Export
Click any image thumbnail to expand it in full-screen Lightbox mode or click Download to save PNG renders directly to your computer.
Prompt Bar & AI Tool Modes Manual
Prompt Bar for Adam sits at the bottom of your chat workspace. Click the + Plus Icon to open the Tools Menu and toggle specialized AI working modes for coding, file management, persistent memory, document intelligence, visual design, and web search.

Send text prompts, instructions, and file attachments effortlessly:
Auto-Resizing Prompt Input
Type your message into the prompt bar. The input field expands smoothly as you type. Press Enter to send or Shift+Enter for multiline line breaks.
File Attachment Uploads
Click the File Attachment option in the + Tools Menu to attach local documents, source code files, or images directly into your prompt thread.
2. Cypher (Autonomous AI Coding Architect)
Turn Trinity into an autonomous AI software engineering assistant:
Deep Codebase Analysis
Cypher reads and maps your local project folder to understand function definitions, class structures, imports, and cross-file dependencies.
Direct Disk Modifications
Generates multi-file code updates and allows you to apply refactored changes straight to your local project disk.

Click the active Brain Icon on the prompt bar to launch the Project & Workspace Manager. Select, switch, and authorize local codebase folders or scope specific subdirectories for Cypher's AI architect.
3. Catalog (File & Software Manager)
A centralized hub to browse and organize local desktop files:

Search, locate, and manage local documents, code files, and installed software packages directly from your workspace.

Click the active Brain Icon to open the Directory Scope Selector. Restrict desktop file searches to specific local drives or folders and organize software packages cleanly.
4. Memora (Persistent Memory System)
Trinity’s long-term memory vault for persistent context:
Cross-Session Memory
Remembers key project preferences and user instructions across chat sessions. You can search, update, or wipe stored memories anytime for total privacy control.

5. Librarian (Document Intelligence & Citations)
Ingest technical manuals and PDFs for precise document QA:
Interactive Document Citations
Answers questions grounded strictly in your uploaded PDFs, complete with clickable page citations that scroll directly to highlighted source passages.
Brain Icon Document Vault & Quiz Selector Panel
Click the active Brain Icon to open the Document Vault Selector. Select PDF files or document groups, set page extraction ranges, compare document summaries, or generate interactive study quizzes.
6. Photon (AI Image & Visual Studio)
Create, edit, and render graphics for your apps and websites:
Reference Slots & Image Editing
Supply up to 3 reference images, set resolution outputs, view in full-screen Lightbox mode, or launch the built-in Image Editor.
Brain Icon Visual Reference Panel
Click the active Brain Icon to open the Visual Reference Panel. Manage reference image slots (Image 1, 2, 3), set per-slot text prompt guidance, and select target output resolutions.
7. Websearch (Live Internet Search)
Access live online information and current web data:

Connects Trinity to live internet search results for real-time news, documentation updates, and online research, complete with clickable source links.
Brain Icon Web Research Selector
Click the active Brain Icon to open the Web Research Selector. Pick target web sources (Wikipedia, arXiv, GitHub), set search depth, and select research output formats (Summary, Compare & Contrast, Key Insights, Detailed Deep-Dive).
Message Box & Response Features Manual
Adam renders AI responses with rich markdown formatting, interactive code blocks, clickable document citations, live web search result cards, and a comprehensive message action toolbar.
1. Code Highlighting & Canvas Transfer
Review, copy, and edit AI-generated code blocks effortlessly:
Syntax Highlighting & One-Click Copy
All AI-generated code blocks feature syntax highlighting across languages (TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, SQL, HTML/CSS). Click the Copy Code button at the top right of any code box to copy code snippets straight to your clipboard.
Open Code in Code Canvas
Click Open in Code Canvas on any code block header to load the code directly into the interactive right-hand Code Canvas editor for refactoring or disk saving.
2. Interactive Document Citations
Verify document answers with direct PDF page highlights:
Clickable Citation Badges
AI answers generated in Librarian mode include inline page tags (e.g. [Page 14]). Click any citation badge to open the PDF inside File Canvas and scroll automatically to the highlighted source passage.
Source Text Tooltips & Relevance Scores
Hover over citation tags to view a tooltip card displaying the exact quoted sentence from the document, source document name, and relevance match score.
3. Live Web Search Cards & Sources
Explore real-time internet search results structured into specialized UI cards:
Organic Search & Favicon Cards
Websearch mode formats online search results into clickable cards showing website titles, live site favicons, full URLs, and summary snippets.
Stock Finance & News Media Cards
Queries about financial markets render live stock price cards (current price, day change, exchange ticker), while news queries display headline article cards with publishing timestamps.
4. Message Action Toolbar
Manage AI responses with the action toolbar located below every response:
Copy Full Message
Click the Copy icon on the response toolbar to copy the entire response text to your clipboard.
Export Response as PDF
Click the Export PDF icon to save the formatted AI response as a clean, printable PDF document on your computer.
Rewind & Regenerate Response
Click Rewind / Regenerate to erase the current response turn and regenerate a fresh answer from the latest context state.
Bookmark Key Messages
Click the Bookmark icon to save important AI responses to your Bookmarked Messages tab for fast retrieval.
Agents of Adam
Adam operates with three specialized autonomous AI agents that work together in the background to plan, edit, and bootstrap your software projects cleanly without technical complexity.
1. Code Architect Agent
The Code Architect Agent manages high-level system design and codebase exploration:

Activates automatically during Cypher Mode when analyzing complex multi-file engineering tasks or designing project refactoring steps.
Capabilities & Functionality
Inspects your codebase folder to map function relationships and cross-file dependencies. It generates structured step-by-step implementation plans so complex changes are mapped cleanly before any code is modified.
2. Code Editor Agent
The Code Editor Agent handles surgical line-by-line file updates:

Activates inside Code Canvas, AI code generation, and Cypher code refactoring execution.
Capabilities & Functionality
Performs exact line-by-line code edits and bug fixes without overwriting unrelated project files. Performs instant syntax and quality checks after edits to ensure code compiles cleanly before saving directly to your local project disk.
3. Setup Agent
The Setup Agent handles project bootstrapping and environment creation:
Where It Is Used
Activates when creating brand new software projects, setting up framework templates, or initializing development environments.
Capabilities & Functionality
Initializes fresh project directory structures for your chosen stack (React, Python, Rust, Go, Flutter, Django, etc.), installs required library packages, and scaffolds clean starter files ready for immediate development.
Utilities
Utilities provide advanced customization tools for extending AI capabilities, customizing agent behavior prompts, managing personal relationships, and personalizing your workspace theme.
1. MCP (Model Context Protocol)
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) connects Trinity AI agents to custom local tools, APIs, and external data sources via stdio communication.

Opening MCP Server Settings
Navigate to Settings > Utilities > MCP Servers to view, manage, and configure custom tool servers.
Adding a Pure Python MCP Server
Click Add Server Snippet and select Python as the runtime. You can set up your server in two simple ways:
Enter the absolute local folder path of your MCP project (e.g. C:\my_mcp_servers\database_tools) into the Server Folder field and click Discover. Trinity automatically inspects pyproject.toml or server.py to configure the launcher.
Ask Trinity AI or any LLM assistant to write a custom entry script based on your local MCP server folder path using this template:

Automated Verification & Activation
Trinity performs an automatic security scan and provisions required dependencies. Once approved, custom MCP tools become active in Default Chat automatically.
2. Hooks (Custom Behavior Prompts)
Hooks allow you to write custom system rules and behavior prompts that override how AI agents respond in specific working modes.
Selecting Working Mode Tabs
Open Settings > Utilities > Skills & Hooks and select the target mode tab you want to customize (Librarian, Memora, Catalog, Cypher, WebSearch).
Writing Custom Rules (Up to 12,000 Chars)
Write your custom behavior guidelines in Markdown format. Custom rules take priority over standard mode instructions, giving you exact control over response style and formatting.
Execution Checkpoint System (Start, Main, End)
Organize custom rules into strategic execution sequence checkpoints within your mode workflow:
- Start Checkpoint: Acts like an external context provider, injecting initial context, data feeds, and prerequisite background info before primary mode prompts run.
- Active Main Skill: Main operational behavior guidelines for general query handling and core agent execution.
- End Checkpoint: Defines what the system needs to execute after the task is done, running provided concluding scripts, mandatory output formatting, and post-task validation procedures.
3. Relationships (Personal Knowledge Network)
Manage your personal contacts, team members, and family profiles stored securely in your local database.
Adding Profile Cards
Open Settings > Utilities > Relationships and click Add Contact. Enter name, full name, nickname, relationship type, email, phone number, location, and address.
Master Profile & Context Recall
Check Is Master Profile to mark your primary profile. Memora and AI assistant modes query local relationship records to recall personal details accurately during conversation.
4. Image Gallery & Wallpaper
Personalize your desktop AI workspace theme and chat background aesthetics.
Built-in Background Themes
Open Settings > Utilities > Chat Backgrounds and select built-in themes like Solid Black (shipped default) or Default AI Chat.
Uploading Custom Wallpapers & Resolution Presets
Upload up to 6 custom images (up to 8 MB each). Choose resolution presets (1080p, 2K, or 4K) for automatic client-side optimization.
